"The Mysteries of Pregnancy" (妊娠のなぞ, Ninshin no Nazo) is the second episode of the Shimoneta anime series. It premiered on July 11, 2015.[1]

Ayame and Tanukichi flesh out a plan to "educate" their classmates during the school's yearly physicals![2]

Plot[]
Cold Open[]
At the Felersio Café, Ayame calls their mission from the previous episode a "sex-cess", but Tanukichi is not happy with what they did. Ayame is still proud because she is sure that the Tokioka students now know how to "body-meld". When Tanukichi mentions how erotically Ayame is eating her ice cream, she says that Tanukichi has a dirty mind except when she wants him to be dirty-minded. Instead of a symbol of a vagina, Tanukichi accidently drew the symbol of a nuclear power plant. Ayame thought that he did it because the thought of betraying Anna aroused him, but reassured him since she felt the same thrill when she made her first terrorist attack on the school. Tanukichi clarified that he did not support anything that SOX was doing, but Ayame teases Tanukichi by interpreting what he said as something dirty, which angered him.
After the Intro[]
At the Student Council meeting room, Anna talks about the events that had happened the previous Saturday and how they could prevent it from happening again. In his mind, Tanukichi apologizes to Anna for what he did. Anna and Gouriki had thought that the video showed two flies wrestling, but after student testimony, they suspect it had a more sexual meaning. Gouriki immediately had his suspicions on Tanukichi, since he knew he was the son of infamous dirty-joke terrorist Zenjuro Okuma. Ayame and Anna revealed that Gouriki spied on Tanukichi on the subway ride to Tokioka Academy because of his family's past. Tanukichi told what he recalled of his dad, and a flashback to Tanukichi's childhood begins. In the flashback, Zenjuro makes jokes about his penis to Tanukichi, who laughs along with him. Tanukichi enjoyed dirty jokes a lot as a kid until Zenjuro made a terrorist attack, yelling vulgarity at Decency Squad members. After the attack, everyone began to ostracize Tanukichi for being the son of Zenjuro, and he quickly grew a hatred for his father and dirty jokes. One day, while at a daycare center, Anna walked up to Tanukichi and offered to be his friend. It was the first time in a few months that someone had even interacted with him. Ever since that day, Tanukichi vowed to become just as pure-hearted as Anna. In her mind, Ayame called his love for Anna "cringe" because of how long he was in love with her.
Later, Ayame teases Tanukichi even more about his feelings for Anna, but he still insists that it is pure and not sexual. Since Tanukichi's speech earned him the trust of Anna and Gouriki, she began Phase 2. Tanukichi refused to be part of another terrorist attack, but Ayame pretended to call the Decency Squad, changing Tanukichi's mind. In Phase 2, Ayame ordered Tanukichi to find the location of a stash of dirty magazines in order to hide them around the school.
The narrator begins to talk about the history of Japan's technological advancements with the Peace Maker. Soon after they were introduced, everything went digital, including dirty images. However, all dirty magazines were burned as per order from the Law for Public Order and Morals in Healthy Child-Raising. The laws only became stricter as time went by, as PMs were made mandatory to wear and porno could no longer be downloaded. Finally, the PMs deleted all dirty images from their hard drive and tracked down any places with hidden stashes of porn magazines.

As the narration ended, Tanukichi went inside a small cabin where he found the hidden porno and stuffed it in his backpack. He vowed that this was his last dirty act, and that from now on, he would be on the path to pure morale. Ayame and Tanukichi later hid the porno pictures in places where staff wouldn't notice, but where students have easy access to. As Tanukichi walks by the Faculty Room, he looks at a picture created by Otome Saotome and wonders why this is all happening to him. Tanukichi visits Hyouka's lab, where she immediately asks him if he wants to "body-meld" with him. She reveals that she was pleased with the sabotaging on Saturday, because the data from the video supports her hypothesis on how babies are made. She also recognized that the flies shown in the video were her flies. Hyouka asks if Tanukichi thinks flies and humans mate the same way, and Tanukichi replies "No comment." Later on, Ayame laments about the state of Japan and its corrupt government.
The Student Council holds another meeting because students have been finding dirty photos around the school. Once again, Tanukichi apologizes to Anna in his mind. As Tanukichi opens his eyes, he quickly sees a dirty picture hung up on the wall. Anna noticed Tanukichi's reaction and asked what was wrong, and Tanukichi pointed to the picture. Anna told him that the picture looked nice, so she hung it up. However, Tanukichi explained that it was one of the dirty images placed by the terrorists. Anna was shocked and confused because all she saw was a peasant girl enjoying a mushroom. Although, she doesn't understand why the girl isn't using her hands to eat it, but assumes that it's probably just a party game. Anna burned the photo, but was still puzzled as to how it was dirty. Ayame jokingly told Tanukichi to educate Anna about the picture, then said that maybe she and Gouriki could demonstrate. Anna noticed what good friends Ayame and Tanukichi had become, and told Tanukichi that while Ayame might seem serious at first, she's just "a big softie inside". As Anna told a story about how Ayame once cried after she was scratched by a cat, Ayame became embarrassed and tried taping Anna's mouth shut before Gouriki held her back. As they were arguing, Anna complimented Tanukichi for his good work.
After the meeting, Ayame walked down the hallway with Tanukichi, who was blushing because of Anna's compliment. Ayame told Tanukichi that if Anna were to snap, "there's no telling what peril will befall [them]." Tanukichi assumes that she's just trying to scare her into doing more terrorist attacks and asks if it's so bad if everyone is morally pure. Ayame holds Tanukichi by his tie and tells him about the X Prohibition Law, which has been proposed by the leader of the PTA, Sophia Nishikinomiya, who's also Anna's mom. Under this new law, the government would be able to record even more data on underage citizens of Japan, including how many times they masturbate. Ayame says that she doesn't want Japan to become a country with a bunch of boring nobody's, like Anna, who saw a dirty picture and just noticed a girl eating a mushroom. Meanwhile, Anna talks to her mother, Sophia, who encourages Anna to keep their school a clean place.

Back at the Felersio Café, Ayame and Tanukichi are still planning on what they should do during the school's physical exams. Ayame decided at first to put protein in the boys' urine samples, since it would indicate that they were masturbating every day before coming to school. She also had a plan as to how they could get away with saying dirty words in the eye exam without the PMs noticing. Tanukichi was forced to be disguised as Blue Snow again so that he could distract Anna and Gouriki, while Ayame steals the urine samples. Their plan went into action as Ayame called for Anna and Gouriki, saying that she had found a threat from Blue Snow. The threat said that Blue Snow was in the infirmary, which was a lie meant to trick Anna and Gouriki. Meanwhile, several students walked into the classroom where they found Blue Snow, who planned to teach the students how babies are made while only using words. As he was doing so, he began to feel a tingly sensation again. Gouriki ran to the infirmary where he choked a random nurse, believing he was Blue Snow. However, Anna stopped him and realized that it was a trap. They ran to the classroom where they found Blue Snow, who was one syllable away from teaching the students how to spell "vagina". With nowhere else to run, Tanukichi climbed down the school with a rope, but was somehow pulled up by Anna. Tanukichi only then realized that what Ayame had said about Anna was true. The window below the infirmary was open, and Tanukichi used it to escape as Anna fell over. Anna and Gouriki ran down the stairs and chased Tanukichi, who ran back to the classroom and climbed up the school with the rope. Anna and Gouriki had no choice but to run upstairs to the roof, where Tanukichi was. For a moment, Tanukichi had some time to calm down, but Anna and Gouriki quickly arrived at the roof, where they searched for "Blue Snow". Suddenly, Anna got a call from Ayame saying that it was a decoy, and that the real Blue Snow was on the gym roof. They looked and saw Ayame, who was fully dressed as Blue Snow. Anna and Gouriki chased the real Blue Snow, and Tanukichi was finally safe. As the episode ends, it was revealed that Otome had seen Tanukichi getting chased from another rooftop and called the situation "amusing" with an evil grin.
